This document provides some quick notes on using the solaris "tip" command to connect to a serial console.

add the following line to /etc/remote:

ttya::dv=/dev/ttya:br#9600:el=^C^S^Q^U^D:ie=%$:oe=^D:

you can then connect to serial port A by going tip ttya. Typing ~# sends a break, ~? displays help.
