PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The RRD45 is a quad-speed (4X) SCSI CD-ROM drive capable of accessing
over 600 MB of text, audio, video, graphical, and image data on a single
CD-ROM disc. The low-cost, convenience, and performance of CD-based media
make it ideal for software distribution, accessing databases distributed
via subscription, and multimedia applications.

The RRD45 is compliant with all standards, including CD-ROM (Mode 1 and
2); CD XA (Mode 2, Form 1 and Form 2); CD-I (Mode 2, Form 1 and Form 2)
and CD-I Ready; CD-Bridge and PhotoCD (single and multiple session); and
MPC-2. Additionally, only Digital's CD-ROMs can boot AlphaServer systems
running OpenVMS, Digital UNIX, and Windows NT software -- lowering
overall system costs and enhancing ease of use for CD-based software
distribution.
