PRODUCT NAME:  clearVISN Flash Loader V1.0


OVERVIEW: 

clearVISN Flash Loader is an SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) 
utility with a graphical user interface for upgrading device firmware
over the network.  By offering the intelligence to effect global changes
in the network, clearVISN Flash Loader is a step on the clearVISN path
toward freeing the network manager from managing individual devices. 

When a request is made to download new firmware, Flash Loader
automatically retrieves the current firmware revision from devices and
compares it to the most recent firmware revision from the firmware
kit.  Flash Loader also discovers agents from the MultiChassis Manager
agents file and specifies agents for this file.  Flash Loader then
uses the trivial file transfer protocol (TFTP) to download the
firmware upgrade to all supported devices that are affected. 

Flash Loader is included with both Stack Manager and MultiChassis Manager. 
It supports Digital's DECrepeater 90TS/FS, DECagent 90, PORTswitch 900 
family, DECswitch 900EE/EF, DECswitch 900 family (with VLANs and 4 RMON 
groups), DEChub Token Ring repeaters and MAU families, and GIGAswitch/FDDI 
switch.

The clearVISN Flash Loader is free of charge with both Stack
Manager and MultiChassis Manager and will ship in June.
