              The enclosed media contains the PATHWORKS[TM] V6.0A for
              OpenVMS[TM] (Advanced Server) software.

              This OpenVMS layered application provides networking
              functionally equivalent to that of the Windows NT[TM]
              Server - with additional features. See the Software
              Product Description for more information.

              Licenses are purchased separately.

              See the PATHWORKS for OpenVMS Server Installation and
              Configuration Guide for instructions on how to install
              this product. Also, read the on-line release notes for
              other important notices.

              Year 2000 Ready

              PATHWORKS V6.0A for OpenVMS (Advanced Server) is Year
              2000 ready. For more information, see our InfoCenter at
              http://www.openvms.digital.com/pathworks.

              Unsupported NetWare Server Software

              The PATHWORKS V1.0H1 for OpenVMS (NetWare[R]) software is
              provided in this software kit for compatibility purposes
              only. Support for the NetWare server was discontinued July
              1, 1998. For more information, see the product release
              notes.

              Support for OpenVMS VAX[TM] and Alpha Systems

              PATHWORKS Advanced Server supports OpenVMS V7.1 VAX and
              Alpha systems. If you are using earlier releases of
              OpenVMS, please use PATHWORKS V5.0F1 for OpenVMS (LAN
              Manager).

           Licensing Information

           You must use the PATHWORKS for OpenVMS Client Access
           license with the PATHWORKS V6.0A for OpenVMS (Advanced
           Server) software. The order numbers for the Client Access
           license are QM-5SUAA-A*. Upgrades are available for those
           with licenses for prior versions of the PATHWORKS for
           OpenVMS software.

           Product Authorization Keys (PAKs) for the Client Access
           licenses are fully supported only by the following
           software:

           o  PATHWORKS V6.0A for OpenVMS (Advanced Server)

           o  PATHWORKS V6.0 for OpenVMS (Advanced Server)

           o  PATHWORKS V5.0F/V5.0F1 for OpenVMS (LAN Manager)

           Note: Some new OpenVMS Alpha servers include two new
           Client Access licenses to allow you to start using
           PATHWORKS Advanced Server immediately.

           Customer Training
