VMS Software, Inc. Read Before Installing VSI Availability Manager, Version 3.2 Thank you for your interest in the Availability Manager product. VMS Software, Inc. (VSI) is excited to provide the first release of the Availability Manager to OpenVMS customers. Kit and documentation information The Availability Manager product consists of three parts: o Data Collector - Software that collects data on an OpenVMS system o Data Analyzer - Software that displays the data o Data Server - Software that enables data collection over a wide area network Each of these kits now has VSI as the producer. If you have installed previous kits from Hewlett-Packard (HP), the correct way to upgrade the Availability Manager is to upgrade OpenVMS from V8.n to OpenVMS V8.4-1H1 first, then upgrade the Availability Manager. The OpenVMS upgrade takes care of reconciling the producer change. Installation Information Installation information is contained in the VSI Availability Manager Installation Instructions.
