           2780/3780 Protocol Emulator for OpenVMS AXP

           Dear Customer,

           This kit contains the 2780/3780 Protocol Emulator for OpenVMS
           Alpha, Version 1.1, software and user documentation. Please check
           the bill of materials to see that all the items listed are in
           your distribution kit. If any item is missing or damaged, please
           contact your Digital Equipment Corporation representative.

           Digital supports OpenVMS Alpha, Versions 6.2 and later. LMF is
           required.

           The 2780/3780 Protocol Emulator for OpenVMS, Version 1.1, documen-
           tation set includes the following:

           o  VMS AXP 2780/3780 Protocol Emulator User's Guide

           o  VMS AXP 2780/3780 Protocol Emulator Installation Guide

           o  2780/3780 Protocol Emulator Software Product Description (SPD)

           Digital recommends that you read the release notes for any tech-
           nical issues before you begin installation. See the Installation
           manual appropriate to your operation system for more information
           about how to access the release notes.

           Installation

           Register and load the product's PAK using the OpenVMS License
           Management facility before you begin installation. Refer to the
           OpenVMS License Management Utility Manual for complete licensing
           information
