Note that the Version 2.0 documentation included in this kit has not been revised to reflect the Version 2.1 version number. Instead, documentation updates are captured in the Release Notes. Installation Information ------------------------ You may want to read the Software Product Description (SPD 43.06.05) before installing any software to ensure that your system satisfies the specified software and hardware requirements. Before you install and run DCE for DIGITAL UNIX Version 2.1, for some subsets, you first must register and load a License Product Authorization Key (License PAK) using the License Management Facility (LMF). See the "DCE for DIGITAL UNIX Installation and Configuration" guide for more information about using License PAKs. Also see this guide for instructions on installing the DCE for DIGITAL UNIX kit. Release Notes ------------- The Release Notes include a summary of problems addressed in this kit, new features, important notes, known problems, and documentation errata and notes. The Release Notes are included on the layered software products CD-ROM, in ASCII and POSTSCRIPT® formats, in the ascii_doc and ps_doc directories, respectively.
