          Thank you for purchasing the Advanced File System (AdvFS)
          Utilities, Version 4.0D. Before installing and using the
          software, please read the following information.


          Release Notes
          Please read the release notes before installing the
          software. The release notes describe features and
          restrictions for this release.


          License PAK Registration
          Upon receiving your AdvFS Utilities distribution kit, you
          must register your AdvFS license Product Authorization Key
          (PAK). The type of license PAK to register depends on your
          system's configuration. With respect to the license PAK,
          please note the following:

          o  It is essential that you understand the types of
             licenses and the AdvFS Utilities license PAK
             registration process before registering your AdvFS
             Utilities license PAK. For detailed information on the
             AdvFS Utilities license, see the Advanced File System
             Utilities Software Product Description (SPD 44.52.xx).

          o  The AdvFS Utilities license PAK (ADVFS_UTILITIES) must
             be registered prior to running the AdvFS product.


          Documentation
          There are three books in the AdvFS Utilities documentation
          set. These can be ordered as part number QA-0EGAA-GZ.

          o  Advanced File System Utilities Installation Guide

             To install version 4.0D, follow the directions in the
             guide.

          o  Advanced File System Utilities Reference Manual

             This manual contains detailed information for the AdvFS
             Utilities commands.

          o  Advanced File Systems and Utilities for DIGITAL UNIX
             Guide to File System Administration
