           Read Before Installing DIGITAL DECforms[TM] Version 2.2 for
           OpenVMS[TM] Systems

           Whether you are a new or existing DIGITAL DECforms[TM] customer,
           please take time to read the following information about your
           product.

                                           NOTE

              References to DECforms refer to DIGITAL DECforms software.

           Installation Information

           Installing DECforms Version 2.2 requires the OpenVMS operating
           system, Version 6.1 or higher. To install DECforms, invoke the VM-
           SINSTAL command procedure, as outlined in Chapter 3 of the OpenVMS
           System Manager's Manual, and follow the instructions in the DIGI-
           TAL DECforms Installation Guide for OpenVMS Systems. The installa-
           tion procedure will perform a complete replacement installation.

           Release Notes Information

           The release notes for DECforms Version 2.2 contain a summary of
           new features, known problems, restrictions, incompatibilities,
           and installation-related instructions. To read the release notes
           before installing DECforms, invoke VMSINSTAL and follow the in-
           structions in the installation guide. After installing DECforms,
           the release notes for DECforms are located in:

              SYS$HELP:FORMSA022.RELEASE_NOTES  (OpenVMS Alpha)
              SYS$HELP:FORMS022.RELEASE_NOTES   (OpenVMS VAX[TM])

           ECOs Required for OpenVMS Version 6.1

           For correct operation of DECforms Version 2.2, CMA ECO ALPCMAR04_062
           (at a minimum) must be installed if you are using DECforms Ver-
           sion 2.2 in conjunction with ACMS[TM] or if you make use of DEC-
           threads[TM] on OpenVMS Alpha, Version 6.2.

           For information on the compatibility of other software products
           with this version of DECforms, refer to the Software Product De-
           scription (SPD). You can use the SPD to verify which versions of
           your operating system are compatible with this version of DEC-
           forms.

           License Management Facility Information

           Before you can install DECforms Version 2.2, you must register
           the Product Authorization Key (PAK), using the License Management
           Facility (LMF). See the OpenVMS License Management Utility Manual
           for registration instructions.
