 Dear Compaq RAID Software for OpenVMS Customer:

 Thank you for your recent purchase of the Compaq RAID Software.
 The kit you have just received includes the VAX and Alpha versions
 of Compaq RAID Software for OpenVMS V2.4A. This software is com-
 patible with OpenVMS VAX Versions 5.5-2, 6.2, 7.1, and 7.2, and
 OpenVMS Alpha Versions V6.2, 7.1, 7.2 and 7.2-1.

 Compaq RAID Software for OpenVMS was formerly named StorageWorks
 RAID Software for OpenVMS.

 Compaq Software for OpenVMS V2.4A operates in a mixed OpenVMS
 cluster environment. Some of the new features of Compaq RAID Soft-
 ware for OpenVMS V2.4A are:

 -  Support for OpenVMS V7.2 and 7.2-1.

 -  Includes all ECO's released since V2.4 (refer to release notes)

 Compaq RAID Software V2.4A kit is the same as Compaq RAID Software
 for OpenVMS Version 2.4 ECO 7. This release also includes fixes
 to V2.4 problems. Please refer to the release notes found in the
 software kit savesets for details. The RAIDA024 kit you have re-
 ceived is a full release (approximate block size =14,000). The kit
 includes:

 o  Compaq RAID Software for OpenVMS, Version 2.4A Savesets

 o  Compaq RAID Software for OpenVMS, Version 2.4A Cover Letter

 o  Compaq RAID Software for OpenVMS, Version 2.4 Installation
    Guide

 o  Compaq RAID Software for OpenVMS, Version 2.4 Guide to Opera-
    tions

 o  Compaq RAID Software for OpenVMS, Version 2.4A SPD 46.49.07

 RAID Software V2.4A is the last release which will use 9 track
 or TK50 magnetic tape as a distribution media. RAID Software will
 continue being distributed on the OpenVMS consolidated distribu-
 tion.
