HP OpenVMS Common Internet File System (CIFS) provides users with seamless file and print interoperability between OpenVMS and Windows-based clients. HP CIFS V1.1 ECO1 is supported on OpenVMS Alpha versions 8.2 and above and OpenVMS Integrity versions 8.2-1 and above. HP CIFS Server Version 1.1 ECO1 is also supported on Windows 2008. License Information HP CIFS is provided at no additional charge for users with a valid license to operate an OpenVMS operating system for an Integrity server or AlphaServer system. The Samba technology utilized in CIFS is bound by an opensource software license.
