           software. This package contains the DEC SNA 3270 Terminal/Print
           Services Version 1.0 software and documentation. Check the bill of
           materials to be sure that your distribution kit contains all the
           items listed. Contact your Digital representative if any of the
           items are missing or damaged.

           Please take a few moments to read the DEC SNA 3270 Terminal/Print
           Services software release notes, which can be found on the distri-
           bution media in the directory /SNT100/documentation. Refer to DEC
           SNA Access for OSF/1 Installation for information on mounting and
           reading this directory.

           Features

           The DEC SNA 3270 Terminal/Print Services for OSF/1 is a software
           product that allows Digital users using a suitably configured OSF
           /1 system to communicate with IBM mainframe systems through the
           DEC SNA Peer Server or other gateway.

           DEC SNA 3270 Terminal/Print Services software can be used in a
           client/server environment, where the software can run on an OSF/1
           system communicating with the DEC SNA Peer Server or with other
           DEC SNA gateways using TEC/IP or DECnet.

           Features for the DEC SNA 3270 Terminal/Print Services include:

           o  Multiple Physical Units (PU support) that allow multiple SNA
              PUs to communicate over one physical link to the IBM host.

           o  OSF/1 users can print IBM formatted EBCDIC files on their ASCII
              printers (3287 print emulation).

           o  Hot Key used to switch between OSF/1 systems and IBM mainframe
              applications without logging off and onto the current session.

           o  3270 PC File Transfer supports the industry standard 3270 PC
              File Transfer (IND$FILE) to VM/CMS, MVS, TSO, and MVS/CICS
              hosts.

           o  3270-2b support for color (four field colors, seven charac-
              ter colors) and extended highlighting through ANSI windows on
              workstations).

           o  National Language Support that supplies input files for nine-
              teen languages supported by IBM.
