       Layered Products Library and Operating Environment Update
                                  for
         OpenVMStm Industry Standard 64 for Integrity Servers
                                   

Welcome to the Layered Products Library and Operating Environment
Update for OpenVMS I64.  The following consolidated software is
included with the OpenVMS Operating Environment DVD Media:
  ·    Layered Products Library
       o    Contains the latest revision of all software products included on
          the Layered Products Library DVD.
  ·    Operating Environment Update
       o    Contains the latest revision of only the software products
          included on the Operating Environment DVD that have revised since the
          initial V8.2 release.
  ·    Online Documentation Library
       o    Contains the latest revision of online documentation for all
          software products included in the Operating Environment and Layered
          Products Library media.
     
For new customers, these DVDs are included with the V8.2 Operating
Environment Media.  For update service customers, they are delivered
separately through a yearly subscription service that includes Software
Updates.

A Master Index listing the contents of each DVD can be found in the
[README] directory of that DVD.  The Master Indexes are also posted at
the following website: http://www1.aclabs.com.


Licensing Information
=====================
A valid software product license is required to access and use each
software product on the Layered Products Library.


The use of each software product on the Layered Products Library
requires each system or hard partition to be properly licensed.
Software product license grants the License to Use the version current
at the time of purchase, and previous versions. License to Use future
revisions of the software may be obtained through either a
Support Agreement that includes Software Updates, or by purchasing a
new license for the software layered product.

Software Updates service includes the License to Use new revisions of
the software released during the Support Agreement period.

Software Updates Service
========================
For OpenVMS I64, all updates will be delivered through Software Updates
service and are available "per product".

A new product license is required to obtain revisions for products not
included in the customer's Software Updates service Support Agreement.
