HP is recommending that customers work directly with Micro Focus to receive product updates after July.   Micro Focus has agreed to sell the updated product to current Micro Focus Tru64 UNIX customers at a significant discount.  Details will be forthcoming in the July SPL cover letter.  

System Tools CD

The System Tools CD included with the Software Products Library contains diagnosis and supporting software for use by HP's service engineers and HP's Authorized Service Provider service engineers.  The software and associated documentation on this CD are for use on systems that have hardware warranty, a service contract, or service obligation.

The System Tools CD is being provided with the Software Products Library in order to provide updates to the diagnosis software that was factory installed and shipped with the system.  The System Tools CD may also contain new diagnosis software that is applicable to the system and should be checked for the most recent updates to the diagnosis tools.  Many of the diagnosis software tools on this CD can also be obtained through links on the following HP web page:

The System Tools CD is created to ISO 9660 standards and the software on this CD can be accessed by multiple operating systems.  Multiple copies of the diagnosis software may exist on this CD in order to support different hardware platforms and operating systems; for example, Tru64 UNIX, OpenVMS, and Windows NT(r).

Software Compatibility Matrix
Please refer to the Software Compatibility Matrix or Software Product Description for Operating System Support information.  The Software Compatibility Matrix shows the minimum and maximum Operating System versions supported by each software product on the Software Products Library.  This matrix is located on disc 1 in the following file:

Licensing Information
A valid software product license is required to access and use each software product on the Software Products Library.  The subscription service, "Consolidated Distribution and Documentation Service," requires the customer to purchase either a Service Contract that provides the rights to use new versions of software or to purchase the appropriate Software Update License for each version.
