 HUBwatch[TM] for Digital UNIX[R] Software Version 4.1

 Dear Customer,

 The HUBwatch for Digital UNIX Version 4.1, software product is
 a network management application used to manage the DEChub[TM]
 family of products including the DEChub 900 MultiSwitch, DEChub
 90, Digital MultiStack System, DEChub ONE, and DEChub ONE-MX hubs,
 and GIGAswitch[TM]/FDDI.

 The product has a graphical user interface (GUI) based on Motif[R]
 windows and has the following features:

 o  Two views of the hub/stackable front panel-a physical view
    and a logical view-that show the installed modules and their
    operating status.

 o  LAN Interconnect views that display and manage the configura-
    tion of LAN segments on the DEChub 900 MultiSwitch backplane.

 o  Management of DEChub 900MultiSwitch Ethernet, Token Ring, and
    FDDI LANs (including FDDI dual-ring and tree topologies).

 o  Management of the Digital MultiStack System.

 o  Management windows that display real-time information about
    each module installed in a hub or Digital MultiStack System and
    enable management of module operating characteristics.

 o  Class 1 VLAN support including port level user assignments on
    repeaters and switches.

 o  Motif windows online help that describes each HUBwatch window
    and its associated management tasks.

 The Software Product Description (SPD 46.65.03) contains a de-
 scription of this product.

 HUBwatch Release Notes and Installation Procedure

 Before installing the HUBwatch software, read the release notes
 that are on the distribution media. The installation procedure
 copies the release notes to the file /usr/kits/HUBwatch/hubwatch.release_notes.
 The release notes contain important information that is not in-
 cluded in the printed manuals or the HUBwatch online help.

   HUBwatch software requires that each of your hubs, network
   modules, and switches is running the most recently released

   version of the firmware. To ensure that you have the latest
   functionality and quality of firmware, we have included the
   most recently released DEChub firmware kit with the HUBwatch
   software distribution kit. Please insure that your devices
   are at the latest revision.

 To install the HUBwatch software, follow the instructions in the
 HUBwatch Installation and Configuration manual. This manual is
 included with the media in the software distribution kit.
