     3.2  In order to receive the full fixes  listed  in  this  kit  the
          following remedial kits also need to be installed:

         MDDRIVER.EXE SYS$MDDRIVER.EXE


     1.  Potential Corruption - It is possible for a DECram Shadow set

     to create corrupted data if the set is in MERGE State and the

     set is being actively written concurrently.  This problem has

     been corrected.

     2.  PFN Database BUGCHECK - a change in the PFN database

     allocation/deallocation protocol gave rise to a problem with

     how DECram used the protocol.  This problem could lead

     to a PFN database BUGCHECK.  This problem has been created.

     The following kit  installation  rating,  based  upon  current  CLD
     information,  is provided to serve as a guide as to which customers

     INSTALLATION RATING:

     2 - Customers using DECram device shadow sets and customers running

     DECram under OPENVMS ALPHA V7.0 and V7.1.


5  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

     Install this kit with the VMSINSTAL utility  by  logging  into  the
     SYSTEM account, and typing the following at the DCL prompt:

         @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL DECRAMUC022 [location of the saveset]

     The saveset location may be a tape drive, or a disk directory  that
     contains the kit saveset.

     "System MUST be rebooted after successful installation of the kit."
