Installation Information The following list summarizes important information about the installation of DEC DB Integrator for OpenVMS: o License requirements To install and run DEC DB Integrator for OpenVMS, you must have a DEC DB Integrator for OpenVMS user or capacity license registered and loaded. Possible licenses are: DBI-RT, DBI- INT, or DBI-DEV. o Operating system requirement The OpenVMS AXP operating system Version 6.1 or the OpenVMS VAX operating system Version 5.5-2 or higher must be in- stalled on your system before DEC DB Integrator for OpenVMS can be installed. o Common Components requirement The DEC Rdb Common Components Version 6.0 must be installed on a system before DEC DB Integrator for OpenVMS can be installed and used properly. Refer to the DEC DB Integrator for OpenVMS Installation Guide for instructions. The Common Component save sets are only for use by licensed or warranted DB Integrator Product Family customers. The location of the Common Component savesets has changed. Version 1.0 Logical Database Conversion If you have previously installed DBI Version 1.0 and have cre- ated DBI logical databases with that version, you must convert them before you can use them with DBI Version 3.1. Refer to the DEC DB Integrator Handbook for information on converting Version 1.0 DBI logical databases.
