          HP OpenVMS Common Internet File System (CIFS) Based on Samba
          Version 1.0 Cover Letter

          Hewlett-Packard is pleased to announce the release of HP OpenVMS
          CIFS (Based on Samba) for OpenVMS Alpha and OpenVMS Integrity
          servers Version 1.0.

          HP OpenVMS Common Internet File System (CIFS) provides users
          with seamless file and print interoperability between OpenVMS
          and Windows-based clients. HP OpenVMS CIFS V1.0 is supported
          on OpenVMS Alpha versions 8.2 and above and OpenVMS Integrity
          versions 8.2-1 and above.

          License Information

          HP CIFS is provided at no additional charge for users with a
          valid license to operate an OpenVMS operating system for an
          Integrity server or AlphaServer system.

          The Samba technology utilized in CIFS is bound by an opensource
          software license.

          HP OpenVMS CIFS V1.0 Installation and Configuration Guide,
          Migration Guide and Release Notes are available in Postscript,
          PDF, and Text formats on the web.
