           Introduction

           Thank you for purchasing DEC/EDI[TM] Version 3.2. This is a new
           version of DEC/EDI which replaces the previously available DEC/EDI
           V2.1D for OpenVMS VAX product.

           The software installation kit contains a release notes document
           which provides:

           o  A description of the main changes made in DEC/EDI Version 3.2

           o  A detailed description of the problems fixed and enhancements
              made in Version 3.2

           o  A description of the known remaining problems

           Before installing this software kit you are recommended to read
           the release notes.

           Accessing the Online Release Notes

           To obtain a copy of the release notes:

           1. Specify OPTIONS N in the VMSINSTAL command:

                 $ @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL decedi032 device: OPTIONS N

              Where device is the name of the device on which the distribu-
              tion media is to be mounted.

           2. After you have mounted the distribution media, VMSINSTAL dis-
              plays the following prompt:

                 Additional Release Notes Options:

                 1. Display release notes
                 2. Print release notes
                 3. Both 1 and 2
                 4. None of the above

                 * Select option [2]:

              Enter the number of the option you require. You can choose to
              discontinue installation at this point.

           The file DECEDI032.RELEASE_NOTES contains the release notes in
           text format. Following a successful installation, this file is
           placed in the SYS$HELP directory.
