Installation Information To install the DCE kit, follow the instructions in the DCE for Digital UNIX Installation and Configuration guide and the release notes. The release notes contain installation-related instructions and a summary of technical changes, known problems, restrictions, and incompatibilities. The release notes are included on the layered software products CD-ROM in the ascii_doc or ps_doc directories. After you install the product, you can read the release notes, located in /opt/dce/share/doc, under the filename DCE200_relnotes.txt or DCE200_relnotes.ps. Before you install and run DCE Version 2.0a for Digital UNIX Ver- sion 4.0, for some of the subsets, you must first register and load a License Product Authorization Key (License PAK) using the License Management Facility (LMF). Read the DCE for Digital UNIX Installation and Configuration guide for more information about using License PAKs. Documentation The books that are located on the CD-ROM that you received with your kit reside on the Bookreader bookshelf named DCE for Digital UNIX. Before using the Bookreader books, refer to the Digital UNIX 4.0 Layered Products' Compact Disc User's Guide booklet that accompa- nies the CD distribution kit.
