           Please take a few moments to read the following information con-
           cerning your POLYCENTER Common Agent Version 1.1 Distribution
           Kit.

           Operating System and Version

           POLYCENTER Common Agent requires DEC OSF/1 Version 1.2 or higher.

           Media and Documentation

           o  If you have ordered the POLYCENTER Common Agent Version 1.1
              Base Kit software, you will find the media and the POLYCENTER
              Common Agent Installation Guide for DEC OSF/1 AXP Systems in
              this kit. This Guide supplies the information you need to in-
              stall POLYCENTER Common Agent on a DEC OSF/1 AXP Version 1.2 or
              higher system.

           o  If you have ordered the POLYCENTER Common Agent Version 1.1
              Developer's Toolkit software, you will find the media and the
              following documentation in this kit:

              -  POLYCENTER Common Agent Managed Object Module Developer's
                 Guide

              -  POLYCENTER Common Agent Managed Object Module Developer's
                 Reference Manual

              -  POLYCENTER Framework Management Specification Language and
                 Data Types Reference

              -  Enterprise Management Architecture General Description

              -  EMA Enterprise Management Architecture Entity Model

           Software Product Description (SPD)

           The SPD provides an overview of the POLYCENTER Common Agent kit
           and its features.

           System Support Addendum (SSA)

           The SSA describes the technical environment in which the product
           is supported.

 






           Software Performance Report (SPR)

           Use the SPR form to report any problems with POLYCENTER Common
           Agent, provided you have purchased warranty services.

           Please check the Bill of Materials to see that all items listed
           are in your distribution kit. If any item is missing or damaged,
           please contact your Digital representative.

           Release Notes Information

           The POLYCENTER Common Agent Release Notes for Version 1.1 are part
           of the distribution kit. Print the Release Notes and read them
           because they contain important product considerations.

           To get the release notes for the base kit, use the setld command
           to install the Common Agent Release Notes subset. Here are the
           specific command lines for each kit:

           Base Kit: setld -l <devicename> ECOREL110

           Developer's Kit: setld -l <devicename> EDOREL110

           Example 1 shows the man-machine dialog for installing and printing
           the Base Kit Release Notes. User responses are in bold text.
