Digi- tal strongly recommends that you read the release notes before proceeding with the installation. Invalid Transaction Handle When using DBIG for DBMS from the PC, an ODBC call failed mes- sage would sometimes occur with the following error: %RDB-E-BAD_TRANS_HANDL, invalid transaction handle This is fixed for Version 1.0B. ID_MAP errors With Version 1.0B of the DBMS gateway, a problem has been fixed that previously caused bugchecks and the following error to occur: -DBM-F-ID_MAP, ID number mapping failure An internal count was incorrect and, under some conditions, could cause this error as well as bugchecks. 10 Access violation in DBMS gateway Versions of the DBMS gateway prior to V1.0B would get an access violation when attempting to ATTACH to databases containing FILLER fields. The NSDS engine was not prepared to receive null descriptors for the FIELD_NAME parameter to the FIELD_CALLBACK. If a DBMS or Custom Driver passed a null descriptor to FIELD_CALLBACK in the FIELD_NAME parameter the NSDS engine would get an access violation. For example, this situation might occur in the case of a FILLER field. This error was fixed in the NSDS engine Version 3.0D which ships with Version 1.0B of the DEC DB Integrator Gateway for DBMS.
