Graphic User Interface Options (Tru64 UNIX only)

MRU Version 1.8A includes two options for the graphic user interface:

- Motif version
- Common Desktop Environment (CDE) version

You can install either the Motif version or the CDE version, or both. Each has
an associated on-line help. The primary difference between them is that the
Motif version shows all media robots connected to the node, and the CDE version
shows only the default robot or the robot specified with the xrobot command. 

Previous Qualified Versions

MRU Version V1.8:

- Qualified ESL630e Library.
- Qualified on OpenVMS Alpha version 8.2
- Qualified on OpenVMS I64 version 8.2 and 8.2-1
- By default MRU commands will wait indefinitely when the device is allocated.
  To set the wait period, the user needs to define MRU_WAIT logical.
- Increased the Read Element Status data length to 128 bytes to capture
  additional information provided by the newer devices.

Significant Change
- HP 1x8 Autoloader support 
- Partition mode support for ESL E-Series Libraries
- MRU identifies the Library if it is in Sequential mode
- Solution provided for QXCM1000192894 where the use of Drive as a parameter
  in MRU commands was leading to access violation

Time Required to Install MRU
The Media Robot Utility software, for any platform, requires between two and
ten minutes to install depending on the speed, power, and workload of the
system.
