          Read Before Installing International Lexicons

          International Lexicons provide multilingual spell checking
          verification and correction capability for WPS-PLUS[TM] (in
          ALL-IN-1[TM] IOS for OpenVMS[TM] AXP[TM]) on the OpenVMS AXP
          platform, and DECwrite[TM] for both OpenVMS AXP and DEC[TM] OSF
          /1[R] AXP platforms.

          Each lexicon consists of a list of words similar to a dic-
          tionary, but without the associated meanings. From within
          DECwrite and WPS-PLUS, users can select words or document to
          be spellchecked in the language of the appropriate lexicon
          installed on your application.

          International Lexicons are supplementary to the default lexicon
          shipped with both DECwrite and ALL-IN-1 IOS V3.1.

          Installation Information

          This section lists the software requirements for installing In-
          ternational Lexicons on OpenVMS AXP and DEC OSF/1 AXP platforms.

          For lexicons used with DECwrite on OpenVMS AXP, the following
          software is required:

          o  OpenVMS AXP V1.5 or higher

          o  DECwrite V3.0 for OpenVMS AXP

          For lexicons used with WPS-PLUS on OpenVMS AXP, the following
          software is required:

          o  OpenVMS AXP V6.1 or higher

          o  ALL-IN-1 IOS V3.1 for OpenVMS AXP

          Note: Two ALL-IN-1 products are planned for the OpenVMS AXP
          platform. ALL-IN-1 IOS V3.1 for OpenVMS AXP bundles the WPS-PLUS
          editor while ALL-IN-1 Core Services V3.1 does not.[1] Unlike
          ALL-IN-1 on the OpenVMS VAX[TM] platform, WPS-PLUS cannot be
          purchased separately on the OpenVMS AXP platform.

          For lexicons used on DEC OSF/1 AXP systems, the following soft-
          ware is required:

          o  DEC OSF/1 AXP V1.3 or higher

          o  DECwrite V3.0 for DEC OSF/1 AXP

          Note: A software patch is required to install the French Lexicon
          with DECwrite V3.0 for OpenVMS AXP. Please contact your local
          Customer Support Centre for information on how to obtain this
          software patch.

             Please read the Bill of Materials (BOM) enclosed in this kit
             and make sure that all items listed are actually in your kit.
             If your kit is damaged or any items are missing, call your
             Digital representative.

          o  Media

             If you ordered media, you will find the media and the In-
             ternational Lexicons Installation Guide in this kit. Consult
             the International Lexicons Installation Guide for information
             about installing the International Lexicons on your system.

          o  Product Authorization Key (PAK)

             The PAK contains information necessary to register the Inter-
             national Lexicons before you install it on an OpenVMS AXP or
             DEC OSF/1 AXP system.

          o  Software Product Description (SPD)

             The SPD provides an overview of the International Lexicons
             kit and its features.

          o  Software Performance Report (SPR)

             Use this form to report any problems with the International
             Lexicons, provided you have purchased warranty services.
