         Dear Customer,

         Thank you for buying VxWorks for Alpha. This release of VxWorks
         for Alpha software provides development support from Digital
         UNIX systems and runtime support for Alpha and Motorola 68K
         single-board computers.

         VxWorks for Alpha is a Digital UNIX layered product. It consists
         of a base toolkit, which provides the target architecture
         independent portion of VxWorks, and Board Support Packages
         (BSP), which provide the target architecture specific portions
         of VxWorks. The following software is required to use VxWorks:

         1. VxWorks Realtime Tools software license

         2. One of the following BSPs:

               VxWorks Board Support Package for Alpha
               VxWorks Board Support Package for 68K

         3. At least one of the following runtime licenses:

               VxWorks Runtime for Alpha
               VxWorks Runtime for 68K

         The following software is optional with VxWorks:

            VAXELN API
            VxWorks X Window Client
            VxWorks Board Porting Kit for Alpha

         For Motorola 68K systems, programmed boot ROMs are supplied
         corresponding to the specific Motorola 68K runtime license
         purchased.
