The gateway for DSM on AXP systems is available only on CD-ROM. Attachment A: Documentation Corrections for DEC DB Integrator Gateway for DSM User's Guide The following sections contain changes to the DEC DB Integrator Gateway for DSM User's Guide. Installing the Common Components The DEC DB Integrator Gateway for DSM User's Guide contains a section about how to install the Common Components kit. The Common Components saveset names in Chapter 2 of the user's guide are incorrect for AXP systems. The following section describes the correct saveset names. All of the other information in the section called "Common Components" is correct. To install Common Components, follow these steps: 1. Invoke the VMSINSTAL command procedure from a privileged account, using the following syntax: @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL variant-name device-name OPTIONS N Supply the appropriate variant-name for the version you want to install. a. Enter DECRDBA060 for the standard version of Common Compo- nents for OpenVMS AXP. b. Enter DECRDBAMV060 for the multiversion variant of Common Components for OpenVMS AXP. For example, to install the Common Components OpenVMS AXP multi- version kit on device ddcu, type the following: $ @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL decrdbamv060 ddcu: OPTIONS N NOTE If you already have DEC Rdb installed on your system, Digital recommends that you install the multiversion kit. This avoids possible problems in overwriting existing files and images for a different version of the Common Components or DEC Rdb. Installing SQL Services The saveset name for the SQL Services kit on AXP systems is SQLSRVA. 2
