          Thank you for purchasing HP X.25 for OpenVMS Alpha and I64 Sys-
          tems V2.0 software. For a complete description of this product,
          see the HP X.25 for OpenVMS Alpha and I64 Systems, V2.0 Software

          OpenVMS Alpha and I64 Software Products Library

          HP X.25 OpenVMS Alpha and I64 Systems V2.0 software and documen-
          tation ship on the OpenVMS Alpha and I64 Layered Product CD-ROM
          distribution:

          o  The OpenVMS Alpha and I64 Software Product Library CD-ROM
             contains the installable software kit, Release Notes, Soft-
             ware Product Description (SPD), and cover letter in ASCII
             (.TXT) and PostScript (.PS) formats.

          o  The OpenVMS Alpha and I64 Online Documentation Library CD-ROM
             contains user documentation in PDF format.

          The OpenVMS Alpha and I64 Layered Products Compact Disc User's
          Guide booklet (CD booklet) and a Read First letter accompanies
          the CD distribution kit. The CD booklet:

          o  describes the directory names on the Software Product Library
             CD where product subsets are located and

          o  lists the documentation files on the Online Documentation
             Library CD provided for each product.

          Installation Information

          Installing HP X.25 V2.0 for OpenVMS Alpha requires the follow-
          ing:

          o  OpenVMS Alpha Operating System Version 8.2 and DECnet-Plus
             Version 8.2

          Installing HP X.25 V2.0 for OpenVMS I64 requires the following:

          o  OpenVMS I64 Operating System Version 8.2 and 8.2-1 and
             DECnet-Plus Version 8.2 and 8.2-1

                          PRE-INSTALLATION WARNING ADVISORY

             If you currently have Version 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.5A or
             1.6 software installed, you do not need to remove any X.25
             software before installing the Version 2.0 software.

          The Release Notes for X.25 contain installation instructions and
          a summary of technical changes, known problems, restrictions,
          and incompatibilities. HP recommends that you read the Release
          Notes before installing X.25. The release notes are located on
          the OpenVMS Alpha Software Product Library CD-ROM in PostScript
          (.PS) and ASCII (.TXT) form.

          License Management Facility (LMF) Information

          A License Management Facility (LMF) Product Authorization Key
          (PAK) allows you to access a software product and its docu-
          mentation. A PAK must be registered and loaded before you can
          install X.25 from the HP CD-ROM Software Library for OpenVMS
          Alpha and I64 Layered Products. Refer to the CD Read First let-
          ter for information on LMF requirements needed to read the X.25
          documentation.
