              Dear DECvoiceBuilder User,

              Digital is pleased to provide DECvoiceBuilder Software for
              OpenVMS[TM] Version V1.1. Enclosed you will find the components
              for this release of the DECvoiceBuilder Software for OpenVMS
              software.

              Contents of this Kit

              The following items are included in the DECvoiceBuilder Run-
              Time Environment kit:

              o A magnetic tape containing the binary software for the
                DECvoiceBuilder Run-Time Environment. This kit consists
                of two software components:

                -  DECvoiceBuilder Administrator

                -  DECvoiceBuilder Run-Time Library

              o The DECvoiceBuilder Run-Time Environment documentation for
                this release, consisting of the following:

                -  DECvoiceBuilder Software for OpenVMS VAX Administrator
                   Guide

                -  DECvoiceBuilder Run-Time Environment for OpenVMS VAX
                   Installation Guide

                -  DECvoiceBuilder Runtime Environment Release Notes (in-
                   cluded in the kit)

              o DECvoiceBuilder Product Authorization Keys (PAKs) for the
                DECvoiceBuilder Administrator, and DECvoiceBuilder Run-Time
                Library are necessary for new installations of the product.

              Product Description

              DECvoiceBuilder Run-Time Environment for OpenVMS provides an
              easy-to-use environment for running, and monitoring telephone
              applications using DECvoice-T1 hardware and software that was
              written using the DECvoiceBuilder Production Environment.
              DECvoiceBuilder Run-Time Environment consists of two compo-
              nents:

              o DECvoiceBuilder Administrator - provides for the monitor-
                ing and managing of the applications and the configura-
                tion of the physical resources required for them to run.
                The DECvoiceBuilder Administrator consists of the Resource
                Manager and the Application Manager.

              o DECvoiceBuilder Run-Time Library - provides the routines
                used by the applications developed with the DECvoiceBuilder
                Application Editor that interface to the voice devices.

              DECvoiceBuilder Version V1.1 provides resolutions for a number
              of problems in DECvoiceBuilder V1.0, as well as some feature
              enhancements. The primary enhancements are:

              o Ability to subdivide application into functions

              o FAX support

              o E1 support

              The problems fixed by this release are detailed in the
              DECvoiceBuilder Runtime Environment Release Notes.

              Prerequisite Software

              The following software is required for the DECvoiceBuilder
              Run-Time Environment Version V1.1

              o OpenVMS Version 5.5-1

              o DECvoice V2.2

              o VAXC 3.2

              Enhancement Suggestions

              SPR forms can also be used to suggest enhancements. We wel-

              enhancement" as a problem type on the form.
