HP SNA 3270 Application Services

Dear Customer:

Thank you for purchasing the HP SNA 3270 Application Services,
Version 1.4, software product. This kit contains the HP SNA
3270 Application Services, Version 1.4, software and user doc-
umentation. Please check the bill of materials to see that all
the items listed are in your distribution kit. If any item is
missing or damaged, please contact your HP representative. For
complete information about the product, refer to the HP SNA
3270 Application Services Software Product Description (SPD
38.70.08).

The HP SNA 3270 Application Services Version 1.4 product sup-
ports OpenVMS Alpha Version 8.2 and LMF requirements.

Documentation

The HP SNA 3270 Application Services Version 1.4 documentation
set includes the following Version 1.2 manuals (all dated August
1996):

o  Digital SNA 3270 Application Services
   Installation (OpenVMS) (AA-PPV4C-TE)

o  Digital SNA 3270 Application Services
   Programming and Management (AA-PPV3C-TK)

o  DECforms Use with 3270 Terminals (AA-PRDKC-TE)

For additional documentation specifically relating to the Ver-
sion 1.4 software, refer to the product's Release Notes (see the
Installation section for more information about accessing the
product's Release Notes).

Documentation is available in online format as part of the
OpenVMS Online Documentation Library on CD-ROM. If you need
to order any additional documentation, please contact your HP
sales representative or refer to the ordering information in the
Software Documentation Products Directory.

Installation

Register and load the product's PAK using the OpenVMS License
Management Facility before you begin installation. Refer to the
OpenVMS License Management Utility Manual for complete licensing
information.

Before installing the product, please take a few minutes to read
the HP SNA 3270 Application Services software release notes.
The Installation manual describes how to access the product's
release notes using the VMSINSTAL utility.

 

To install, enter the following:

$ @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL R3270014 device-name OPTIONS N
