           Dear StorageWorks RAID Software for OpenVMS Customer:

           Thank you for your recent purchase of the StorageWorks RAID Soft-
           ware. The kit you have just received includes the VAX and Alpha
           versions of StorageWorks RAID Software for OpenVMS V2.4. This
           software is compatible with OpenVMS VAX Versions 5.5 through 7.1
           and OpenVMS Alpha Versions V1.5 through 7.1.

           StorageWorks RAID Software for OpenVMS V2.4 operates in a mixed
           OpenVMS cluster environment. Some of the new features of Storage-
           Works RAID Software for OpenVMS V2.4 are:

           o  Support for OpenVMS V7.1.

           o  The RAID array BIND times in the VMScluster have been improved.

           o  A command procedure can be run in a batch job depending on
              certain RAID events (e.g. reconstruct complete).

           o  The RAID ANALYZE/ARRAY/REPAIR command will recover redundancy
              on a RAID 5 array.

           o  The RAID ANALYZE/ARRAY or /UNITS commands will create a for-
              matted output of the on-disk metadata for a RAID array or
              individual units.

           This release also includes fixes to minor V2.4 problems. Please
           refer to the release notes found in the software kit savesets
           for details. The RAID024 kit you have received is a full release
           (approximate block size =14,000). The kit includes:
