          Dear Customer:

          This kit contains the Digital SNA APPC/LU6.2 Programming Inter-
          face for OpenVMS[TM], Version 2.3, software and user documenta-
          tion.

          The Digital SNA APPC/LU6.2 Programming Interface for OpenVMS,
          Version 2.3 supports:

          o  OpenVMS VAX, Versions 6.1, 6.2, and 7.0

          o  OpenVMS Alpha, Versions 6.1, 6.2, and 7.0

          o  LMF requirements

          The DECnet SNA APPC/LU6.2 Programming Interface for OpenVMS,
          Version 2.3 documentation set includes the following:

          o  Digital SNA APPC/LU6.2 Programming Interface for OpenVMS
             Installation (AA-EV68F-TE)

          o  Digital SNA APPC/LU6.2 Programming Interface for OpenVMS
             Programming (AA-ET91F-TE)

          In most cases, the software operates exactly as the VMS
          APPC/LU6.2 Programming Interface product for VAX[TM] systems.
          Any exceptions are noted in the release notes. Digital recom-
          mends that you read the release notes for any technical issues
          before you begin installation. You can access release notes
          by responding to prompts at the beginning of the installation
          procedure, before you begin to install the software.

          Installation

          Register and load the product's PAK using the OpenVMS License
          Management Facility before you begin installation. Refer to the
          OpenVMS License Management Utility Manual (AA-PVXUA-TK), for
          complete licensing information.

          To install, enter the following:

          $ @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL SNALU62023 device-name OPTIONS N
