 Dear Save Set Manager Customer:

 In an effort to provide continuously improved storage management
 software capability to our customers, Digital offers POLYCENTER
 Save Set Manager (SSMgr) for OpenVMS VAX[TM] and Alpha[TM] Version
 1.3A software.

 SSMgr is a layered software product that reduces user time spent
 on save set operations by providing capability for offline save
 set validation, copy, merge, and support for bound disk volumes.
 SSMgr therefore improves productivity by reducing backup windows,
 the number of full backups required, and restore times, without
 compromising data integrity. This version introduces SSMgr support
 of OpenVMS 7.1 on both the VAX and Alpha platforms.

 Save Set Manager for OpenVMS Version 1.3A software has been de-
 signed to run on OpenVMS Versions 5.5-2 through 7.1 on the VAX
 platform, and OpenVMS Versions 6.1 through V7.1 on the Alpha plat-
 form.

 OpenVMS VAX V5.5-2 Information

 If you are running OpenVMS V5.5-2 on the VAX platform, Save Set
 Manager may fail due to missing images or incompatibilities with
 existing images. Please refer to the SSMgr Release Notes, Section
 4.0, on Optional Software Patches for further instructions before
 attempting installation of this product.
