Thank you for purchasing the OpenVMS[TM] SNA Version 2.3 soft-
ware product. This package contains the OpenVMS SNA V2.3 soft-
ware and documentation. Check the bill of materials to be sure
your distribution kit contains all the items listed. If any
of the items are missing or damaged, please contact your 
DIGITAL[TM] representative.

Before installing the product, please take a few minutes to
read the OpenVMS SNA software release notes. You can find
the release notes on the distribution disk in the directory
SYS$HELP:SNAVMS$023.RELEASE_NOTES.

For complete information about the product, refer to the OpenVMS
SNA Software Product Description (SPD 27.01.10).

Features

OpenVMS SNA is a layered software product that allows OpenVMS
VAX[TM] systems to communicate with IBM[R] systems using the IBM
System Network Architecture (SNA) protocols.

New features for Version 2.3 of OpenVMS SNA include the follow-
ing:

o  OpenVMS VAX V6.1 and V7.2 support

o  Support for remote DECnet[TM] client applications

The OpenVMS SNA software documentation set includes the follow-
ing manuals:

o  OpenVMS SNA Management

o  OpenVMS SNA Guide to IBM Parameters

o  OpenVMS SNA Problem Solving

Documentation is available in online format as part of the
OpenVMS VAX Online Documentation Library on CD-ROM (the Problem
Solving manual is available only in hard copy at this time). If
