DIGITAL Reliable Transaction Router,[1] Version 3.1D for OpenVMS Important Product Information AV-PB30K-TE Dear Reliable Transaction Router Customer, Enclosed is a combined media and documentation kit for Version 2.2D and Version 3.1D of Reliable Transaction Router (RTR) for OpenVMS VAX or OpenVMS Alpha. With the release of RTR V3.1D for OpenVMS, RTR V2.2D for OpenVMS has been superseded on both the VAX and Alpha platforms. Subsequent release kits of RTR V3.1D for OpenVMS and later will not include RTR V2.2D for OpenVMS on the standard kit. However, RTR V2.2D for OpenVMS will still be available by special order. Customers using RTR V2.2D for OpenVMS are advised to migrate to RTR V3.1D for OpenVMS as soon as practical. RTR V3.1D for OpenVMS has been tested for Year 2000 compliance and contains many enhancements to RTR V2.2D. RTR V3.1D for OpenVMS implements RTR V2 API wrapper routines that allow most existing RTR Version 2 based applications to run without change. It is recommended that customers test their RTR V2 applications on RTR V3.1D before replacing RTR V2.2D in their production environment. Digital will provide support services for RTR V2.2D through March 1999. If assistance is required in moving your application from RTR V2 to V3 or support for RTR V2.2D is required beyond March 1999, please contact your Digital Service representative for more information.
