                         KAP C Version 3.2 for OpenVMS Alpha

                           Please Read Before Installation


          1  KAP C Kit

          Version 3.2 of KAP C is a maintenance release that fixes bugs
          found in the previous version. Please refer to the release notes
          for details.

          This software requires OpenVMS Alpha Version 7.2 or higher run-
          ning on an Alpha system. DEC C is a prerequisite layered prod-
          uct. If DEC C is not installed at the time of the installation,
          the Installation Verification Procedure (IVP) will fail.

          The KAP installation requires 20,000 blocks of disk space.

          KAP C is available on CD-ROM as part of the Compaq OpenVMS Alpha
          Layered Products Disk.

          2  KAP C Documentation

          The documentation kit is available in hardcopy format and con-
          tains the following:

          o  KAP C for OpenVMS User Guide

          o  KAP C for OpenVMS Installation Guide

          The order number is QA-0HFAA-GZ.3.2.

          The user guide is also available on the Compaq OpenVMS Alpha
          Online Documentation Library CD-ROM in HTML format for viewing
          with a Web browser.

          3  KAP C Release Notes

          The release notes contain important instructions, a summary of
          changes, and other relevant information. After installation, the
          online release notes can be found in SYS$HELP:KCC_032.RELEASE_
          NOTES.

 






          4  Reporting Problems and Comments

          If you encounter a problem while using this product, report it
          to Compaq. Depending on the nature of the problem and the type
          of support you have, you can take one of the following actions:

          o  Call Compaq if your software contract or warranty agreement
             entitles you to telephone support.

          o  Submit a Software Performance Report (SPR).
