              The enclosed media contain:

              o  PATHWORKS V5.0E for OpenVMS (LAN Manager)

              o  PATHWORKS V1.0E for OpenVMS (NetWare)

              As with the previous release, Digital has combined these
              two products in one distribution kit. Licenses are
              still purchased separately. The new features provided
              in PATHWORKS V5.0E for OpenVMS (LAN Manager) include
	      support for the following:

              o OpenVMS V7.1 for both VAX and Alpha architectures.

              o OpenVMS V7.1 External Authentication.

              o Microsoft Windows NT workstation client software V4.0.

              The new feature provided in PATHWORKS V1.0E for OpenVMS
              (NetWare) is support for:

              o OpenVMS V7.1 for both VAX and Alpha architectures.


           Please refer to your existing Server Installation and Upgrade
           Guide for instructions on installing the LAN Manager
           server, the NetWare server, or both. Also, please read
           the on-line release notes for other important notices
           regarding these releases.
