Installation Information Installing DEC C++ for OpenVMS[TM] Alpha requires the OpenVMS Alpha operating system Version 6.1 or higher. The OpenVMS Alpha Layered Products media consists of the follow- ing: o Software Product Library CD-ROMs containing the installation kits and related documentation in ASCII and PostScript[R] formats. o Online Documentation Library CD-ROMs containing documentation files in Bookreader[TM] and other online formats. Contents of the Media CD-ROM The Media CD-ROM contains the installation save set (kit) and installation guide for installing DEC C++ for OpenVMS Alpha Version 5.6 (and other layered products). On the Media CD-ROM, the main DEC C++ directory is [CXX056]. The Media CD-ROM device contains the following DEC C++ files: o The DEC C++ for OpenVMS Alpha installation save set is lo- cated in: [CXX056.KIT]CXX056.A o A special version of the OpenVMS Debugger is required for use with DEC C++ Version 5.6. License Management Facility Information A License Management Facility (LMF) Product Authorization Key (PAK) must be registered and loaded before you can install DEC C++ (CXX).
