          HP SNA Data Transfer Facility for OpenVMS

          Thank you for purchasing the HP SNA Data Transfer Facility for
          OpenVMS Version 3.5 software product. This package contains the
          HP SNA Data Transfer Facility for OpenVMS Version 3.5 software
          and user documentation. Please check the bill of materials to
          see that all the items listed are in your distribution kit. If
          any item is missing or damaged, please contact your HP repre-
          sentative. For complete information about the product, refer
          to the HP SNA Data Transfer Software Product Description (SPD
          27.85.12).

          The HP SNA Data Transfer Facility for OpenVMS Version 3.5 sup-
          ports OpenVMS Alpha Version 8.2.

          Documentation

          The HP SNA Data Transfer Facility for OpenVMS Version 3.5 doc-
          umentation set includes the following Version 3.2 manuals (all
          dated May 1996):

             Installation (AA-JM76F-TE)

          o  Digital SNA Data Transfer Facility for OpenVMS
             Use (AA-JM75F-TE)

          o  Digital SNA Data Transfer Facility for OpenVMS

          o  Digital SNA Data Transfer Facility for OpenVMS
             Problem Solving and Messages (AA-JR79F-TQ)

          For additional documentation specifically relating to the Ver-
          sion 3.5 software, refer to the product's Release Notes (see the
          Installation section for more information about accessing the
          product's Release Notes).

          Documentation is available in online format as part of the Open-
          VMS Online Documentation Library on CD-ROM. If you need to order
          additional documentation, contact your HP sales representative
          or refer to the ordering information in the Software Documenta-
          tion Product Directory.

          Installation

          Register and load the product's PAK using the OpenVMS License
          Management Facility before you begin installation. Refer to
          the OpenVMS License Management Utility Manual (AA-PVXUA-TK) for
          complete licensing information.

 






          Before installing the product, please take a few minutes to
          read the HP SNA Data Transfer Facility for OpenVMS software
          release notes. The Installation manual describes how to access
          the product's release notes using the VMSINSTAL utility.

          To install on server systems, enter:

          $ @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL SNADTFS035 device-name OPTIONS N

          To install on client systems, enter:

          $ @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL SNADTFU035 device-name OPTIONS N
