Installation Information Installing DIGITAL PHIGS Version 5.1 requires the DIGITAL UNIX[R] operating system Version 4.0 or later. Previous ver- sions of DIGITAL PHIGS do not need to be installed before this version. The DIGITAL UNIX Alpha Software Products media consists of the following: o Software Product Library CD-ROMs containing the installation kits and related documentation in ASCII and PostScript[R] formats. o Online Documentation Library CD-ROMs containing documentation files in Bookreader[TM] and other online formats. One of the Software Product Library CD-ROMs contains the in- stallation kit subsets and installation guide for installing DIGITAL PHIGS Version 5.1. The main DIGITAL PHIGS directory is pho510 for the development kit, and phr510 for the run-time-only kit.
