          Dear Reliable Transaction Router Customer,

          Enclosed is a combined media and documentation kit for Version
          2.2D and Version 3.1D of Reliable Transaction Router (RTR) for
          OpenVMS VAX or OpenVMS Alpha. Please ensure that you have the
          correct kit for your machine.

          Reliable Transaction Router, Version 3.1D for OpenVMS offers
          RTR Version 2 wrapper routines that allow existing RTR Version 2
          based applications to run without change on Version 3.1D.

          If you are developing new applications for RTR you are encour-
          aged to use Version 3.1D.

          Users wishing to move existing applications from RTR Version 2
          to RTR Version 3.1D are encouraged to verify and recertify their
          applications against the significant number of new features in
          Reliable Transaction Router, Version 3.1D for OpenVMS.
