These notes cover the Micro Focus[R] products distributed by Compaq[R] on Compaq Tru64[TM] UNIX[R], formerly called DIGITAL UNIX[TM]. The main product is the Micro Focus COBOL Software Developer Suite[TM] for Tru64 UNIX, which consists of Micro Focus COBOL, Micro Focus Toolbox[TM], and Micro Focus Dialog System[TM]. For the deployment of the developed applications, there is the Micro Focus COBOL Application Server[TM] for Tru64 UNIX, previously referred to as the Micro Focus Operating System Extensions[TM] (OSX) product. Micro Focus COBOL Documentation Available on CD-ROM New with this release is a documentation CD-ROM with files in HTML and PDF formats. To view the PDF format, you need Adobe Acrobat[R] software. To view the HTML format, you need a web browser. The CD-ROM is in ISO 9660 format and can be viewed on most systems including the UNIX operating system and Windows[R] operating system. License Management Facility (LMF) Information Before you can use the Micro Focus COBOL Software Developer Suite, an LMF PAK must be registered and loaded. See the Micro Focus COBOL Installation Guide for Tru64 UNIX Systems for more information. The purchase of a valid Application Server license and the installation of an LMF PAK are required when deploying Micro Focus COBOL based applications to production systems to ensure support and to conform with licensing and royalty obligations.
