Installation Information Installing Digital PHIGS Version 5.0 requires the OpenVMS[TM] Alpha Operating System Version 6.2 or higher, and DECwindows[TM] Motif[R] Version 1.2-3 for OpenVMS Alpha. Previous versions of Digital PHIGS do not need to be installed before this version. The OpenVMS Alpha Layered Products media consists of the follow- ing: o Software Product Library CD-ROMs containing the installation kits and related documentation in ASCII and PostScript[R] formats. o Online Documentation Library CD-ROMs containing documentation files in Bookreader[TM] format. One of the Software Product Library CD-ROMs contains the instal- lation save sets and installation guide for Digital PHIGS Ver- sion 5.0. The main Digital PHIGS directory is [AXPPHIGS050] for the development kit and [AXPPHIGSRTO050] for the run-time-only kit. For information on LMF requirements for reading the Digital PHIGS documentation using Bookreader software, refer to the Software Product Library CD- ROM User's Guide, located on disc 1 of the Software Product Library CD-ROM in the [README] directory. Contents of the Media Kit o Bill of Materials (BOM) Please read the BOM enclosed in this kit and check to see that all items listed are actually in your kit. If your kit is damaged or any items are missing, call your Digital representative. o Media On the Software Product Library CD-ROM, you will find the Digital PHIGS directory and save sets. Within the navigation window, select the topic "Program- ming Languages and Tools". 3. Select the topic "Digital PHIGS for OpenVMS Alpha Sys- tems". 4. Select the appropriate Digital PHIGS document; the table of contents will appear.
