Previous Qualified Versions MRU Version V1.7 is compatible with: * Qualified on OpenVMS Alpha 7.3-2. * Qualified MSL6000 series Library. * Qualified LTO-2 tape drives in ESL9000 series family of Library. * The ROBOTIC commands do not hang if the device is already allocated by another process; instead it fails with "Device Busy" error if MRU_WAIT logical is set. With MRU_WAIT logical we can supply the time limit after which the ROBOTIC commands should report error. * We have added the following new commands: 1. ROBOT RESERVE ROBOT - The user can RESERVE a device in Fibre Channel environment for exclusive use on the HOST. The other Host where the device is available MRU Command or SCSI calls will throw "Reservation Conflict" error message. e.g. "ROBOT RESERVE ROBOT robot_name" 2. ROBOT RELEASE ROBOT - The user can RELEASE the device allocated by him from same bus if the exclusive use on that host is not required or the user wants the device to be used at other HOST. e.g. "ROBOT RESERVE ROBOT robot_name" For information on these commands please refer to OpenVMS online help. Significant Change * Qualified ESL630e Library. * Qualified on OpenVMS Alpha version 8.2. * Qualified on OpenVMS I64 version 8.2. * By default MRU commands will wait indefinitely when the device is allocated.
