Hewlett-Packard Software Product Description ___________________________________________________________________ PRODUCT NAME: HP Media Robot Utility, Version 1.8B SPD 64.44.12 DESCRIPTION HP Media Robot Utility (MRU) is a multiplatform software utility that provides direct robotic control for HP DLT (Digital Linear Tape), Su- per DLT and 4mm (DAT) loaders, the TL8nn libraries, and the TKZ load- ers. This product provides the ability for the user to load a cartridge from a selected robot slot into a specified robot drive and unload the cartridge from the drive. It also provides the user the ability to move the cartridge from slot/drive/port to slot/drive/port if the hardware device qualifies the move. The commands qualified are: o Load-Moves a cartridge from slot to drive. o Unload-Moves a cartridge from drive to slot. o Inject-Moves a cartridge from port to slot. o Eject-Moves a cartridge from slot to port. o Move-Moves a cartridge from slot/drive/port to slot/drive/port as long as the hardware device qualifies the move. o Show-Displays information. o Ready-Allows opening the import mechanism door on member robots of the TL82x family of libraries. o Lock/Unlock-Prevents or allows media removal on robots that qual- ifies this feature. o Help-Displays information on the commands. The HP Media Robot Utility CD ROM also contains the SCSI CAM Layered Components for Tru64 UNIX systems, V4.0F and V4.0G and V5.0. SOFTWARE LICENSING This software is furnished only under a license. The MRU media is also provided with the Archive Backup Software (ABS) kit. If a customer has ABS installed on a system, then the ABS license allows the customer the rights to use MRU on that system.
