日本語 Compaq OpenVMS テーラリング・ユーティリティ

この章では，日本語 Compaq OpenVMS テーラリング・ユーティリティについて説明します。

6.1 テーラリング・ユーティリティの使用方法

日本語 Compaq OpenVMS テーラリング・ユーティリティは，日本語 Compaq OpenVMS をインストールしたシステム・ディスクに新たに日本語 Compaq OpenVMS ファイルを追加する，または，そこから日本語 Compaq OpenVMS ファイルを削除することを可能にします。追加または削除すべき日本語 Compaq OpenVMS のファイルは，クラス（機能単位）とサブクラス（クラスの中のユーティリティ単位）とで指定します。日本語 Compaq OpenVMS テーラリング・ユーティリティは，次の3段階から成り立っています。

第1段階: 


   Do you want to tailor files "ON" or "OFF"?

この質問は現在の日本語 Compaq OpenVMS システムに対し，日本語 Compaq OpenVMS ファイルを追加（テーラ・オン）するか， 削除（テーラ・オフ） するかを答えます。

第2段階:

日本語 Compaq OpenVMS ファイルの各クラスを表示します。第1段階の質問で，テーラ・オンを指定した場合は，システム・ディスクに追加すべきクラスを指定し，テーラ・オフを指定した場合は，システム・ディスクから削除すべきクラスを指定します。

第3段階:

テーラリング・ユーティリティが，上記の指定に従った実行を行います。テーラリング・ユーティリティを第1または第2段階で中止したいときは， [Ctrl/C]， [Ctrl/Y]，または，[Ctrl/Z] を押してください。第3段階で中止した場合には，テーラリングが不完全な状態のディスクになってしまう場合がありますので，注意してください。

次に，日本語 Compaq OpenVMS テーラリング・ユーティリティからの問い合わせを説明します。 


CLASS - XXXXXX 
 
     Size of entire class (with subclasses): nnn 
     Size of common files required for any subclass : mmm

最初に表示されるのは，日本語 Compaq OpenVMS ファイルの各クラス名です。各クラスではクラス全体のファイル・サイズ，そのクラス内の任意のサブクラスが動作するために必要な共通ファイルのサイズがブロック数で表示され，削除または追加した際のディスク容量の変化量の目安を指しています。また各クラスでは次のような質問がされます。 


  1. Do you wish to select the entire class (default = NO)?


    このクラスに含まれるすべての日本語 Compaq OpenVMS ファイルを追加（テーラ・オンのとき）または削除（テーラ・オフのとき）することを指定するかが問われます。デフォルトは NO です。 


  2. Do you wish to select any of its subclass (default = NO)?


    (1) の質問で NO（または単に [Return] ）と答えたときにだけ，この質問が問われます。このクラス XXXXXX にあるサブクラスの，少なくとも1つは追加（テーラ・オンのとき）または削除（テーラ・オフのとき）することを指定するかが問われます。デフォルトは NO です。 


  3. Select the subclasses that you with to use: 
                 SUBCLASS - YYYYYY (qqq blocks) [NO]:


    (2) の質問で YES と答えたときにだけ，この質問が問われます。このクラス XXXXXX にあるすべてのサブクラス YYYYYY をそのファイル・サイズとともに表示し，順番に追加（テーラ・オンのとき）または削除（テーラ・オフのとき）を指定するかが問われます。デフォルトはNO です。 


  4. No subclasses in this tailor class.


    このクラスにはサブクラスが存在しないときには，(1) の質問に先だって上記のメッセージが表示されます。その場合には，質問 (2) および (3) は問われません。
    すべての日本語 Compaq OpenVMS テーラ・クラスについての質問に答え，その中で日本語 Compaq OpenVMS ファイルを選択したときには，次のメッセージが表示されます。 


  5. Files have been selected 
        Do you wish to add (remove) all of options selected?


    上記の質問で選択した日本語 Compaq OpenVMS ファイルを，テーラ・オンを指定しているときは，システム・ディスクに追加することを，テーラ・オフを指定しているときは，システム・ディスクから削除することを確認します。ここでもし NO と入力すると次のメッセージが表示されテーラリングの実行は行われないで，テーラリング・ユーティリティは終了します。

    一方，YES と入力すると次のメッセージが表示され，テーラリングの実行が行われます。

  6. テーラ・オンの場合 


         * Enter device containing OpenVMS/Japanese distribution media:


    ここでは，日本語 Compaq OpenVMS のディストリビューション・メディアをマウントする装置名を入力してください。この質問に答えると次のメッセージが表示され，テーラ・オンを指定した日本語 Compaq OpenVMS ファイルの，バックアップ・コピーが始まります。 


         %BACKUP-S-CREATED, created [VMS/Japanese-file-name]

  7. テーラ・オフの場合
    テーラ・オフを指定したテーラ・クラスに属する日本語 Compaq OpenVMS ファイルが，削除されます。

    テーラ・オフを指定したファイルが既にシステム上にない場合には，次のメッセージが表示されますが，作業はそのまま続きます。 


         %RMS-E-FNF, file not found


    すべてのテーラ・オン，またはテーラ・オフを指定したファイルが追加，削除されると AUTOGEN が始まります。 


         %AUTOGEN-I-BEGIN, SAVPARAMS phase is beginning.


    AUTOGEN に続いてシステムがリブートされます。 


         %AUTOGEN-I-BEGIN, REBOOT phase is beginning.

なお，テーラ・オンとテーラ・オフ時のクラス，サブクラスの指定については以下のような違いがありますので注意が必要です。

テーラ・オンのときには，あるテーラ・クラスのサブクラスを1つでも選んだときは，そのテーラ・クラスの共通ファイルも同時にテーラ・オンされます。しかし，テーラ・オフのときには，あるテーラ・クラスのサブクラスを選んだときはそのサブクラスのみがテーラ・オフされ，そのテーラ・クラスの共通ファイルは同時にはテーラ・オフされません。あるテーラ・クラスの共通ファイルをテーラ・オフするときは，そのテーラ・クラス全体を，テーラ・オフ指定してください。
