The OpenVMS Ambassadors are a group of HP employees who are OpenVMS experts that have developed and continue to develop a deep understanding
of OpenVMS and the OpenVMS customer base. The OpenVMS Ambassador program is a vehicle to maintain communication between OpenVMS
Engineering, Product management, Marketing and the Ambassadors, with the goal of keeping the Ambassadors informed of any current
product changes, future product developments and strategic directions. In addition, the Ambassadors provide OpenVMS with opinions
based on intimate customer knowledge.
The OpenVMS Ambassadors are well prepared to address and support customers' business and technical requirements. They are able to
present OpenVMS topics to any audience, provide in-depth product presentations, product non-disclosures, and design system
configurations of the highest complexity.
Because the Ambassadors work closely with customers, they are able to provide invaluable feedback to OpenVMS Marketing, Product
Management and Engineering on the needs and opinions of our customers. In addition, they also provide the same level of feedback
on competitive products.
The Ambassadors meet twice each year with Marketing, Engineering and Product Management. These meetings facilitate an interactive
exchange on current product updates, information on products in development, long range plans and strategic directions for OpenVMS
and other related technologies such as Alpha, Windows, Storage and applications. These meetings also provide an opportunity for
the Ambassadors to share pertinent information, customer situations and experiences from their respective areas in a formal and
informal setting. Since the OpenVMS Ambassador Program is worldwide, the issues discussed have a global impact.
