Offer includes Hitachi TPBrokerŽ and Borland VisiBrokerŽ
BIRMINGHAM, AL—November 24, 2003—2AB, provider of Trusted Solutions for Distributed Business, announces today that for a limited
time they will offer an aggressive competitive-upgrade licensing program for the orb2 product suite. Products eligible for
competitive upgrade include commercial orbs such as Hitachi TPBrokerŽ and Borland VisiBrokerŽ. orb2 ships with two
location services—Naming and Trading—plus a graphical management tool for monitoring, administering, and managing CORBAŽ
services.
"Many companies are looking for an alternative to their existing CORBA solution. This program removes the pain of capital expense
while allowing migration to a fully supported product for mission-critical applications," noted Marty Byrne, 2AB Business
Development Manager.
orb2 offers an integration platform for developing and managing distributed applications that are secure, flexible, and
interoperable. "We believe that when you offer middleware technology, you need to support the diversity of platforms that drive
integration requirements," stated Carol Burt, 2AB President and CEO. orb2 is available for Java, C and C++ on AIX, HP-UX, OpenVMS,
Linux, Solaris, VOS, Windows, and z/OS. 2AB is a business partner of HP, IBM, Sun, Stratus, and Microsoft.
