Searching for Text Strings?

The Question is:

 
How do I perform a search in the LSE editor to find how many occurances there
are of a string. In my case, I want to check a log file for 7 messages
(Transfer complete). I want to make sure there are 7 of these as this
indicates each file transfer was a success.
