The Question is:

 
Is there a limit of users that can run
simultaneously on VMS 5.5-2 apart from the
hardware/performance limit ?

The Answer is :

 
  You will very likely encounter resource or performance limits long before
  you reach the hard limit of processes: the maximum setting of the SYSGEN
  parameter MAXPROCESSCNT.
 
  If the Wizard's memory serves, on OpenVMS VAX V5.5-2, the MAXPROCESSCNT
