The Question is: I have a KA650 that is missing the bulkhead, where could I find the pinouts of the connectors that goto the bulkhead, (make my own bulkhead) technical scematics/pinout charts would be helpful, and I am currently doing with out manuals because they were lost in a fire 3 years ago... Any help is appreciated... ev en a url for the information... and I have already looked at the faq and vax1 and misc1 are useless since they tell the function with out the pinouts... Thank You The Answer is : The Wizard does not recommend working directly with the CPU modules, the connectors, or replacing components or bulkheads unless properly trained and equiped -- these can be static-senstive and can easily be damaged. Failure to correctly wire the components -- or any potential (pun intended) errors that might be present in this message -- could lead to equipment damage. Further, there are potentially hazardous or even lethal voltages present inside system enclosures. The Wizard strongly recommends that all service be refered to and performed only by qualified and appropriately trained personnel. The Wizard would strongly recommend acquiring a used MicroVAX II (KA630) system, or a system with a non-functional KA650 or KA655 processor. These systems all use compatible bulkheads. The bulkhead pinout is documented in the KA630, KA650, and KA655 technical manuals. EK-KA630-UG is one of the associated manuals. Configuration and display connector pinout: 01, 02, 03: ground 04, 05: zero for arbiter CPU (default), non-zero for auxillary CPU 06: ground 07, 08, 09, 11: display register bits (10 is MSB, 07 is LSB) 10: battery voltage 12: ground 13, 14: boot-diagnostic code 15: halt enable 16: ground 17, 18, 19: baud rate selection (19 is MSB, 17 is LSB) 20: fused +5V SLU connector pinout: 01: reserved 02: ground 03: output from CPU to SLU 04: ground 05: ground 06: key; no pin 07: +differential input to CPU from SLU 08: -differential input to CPU from SLU 09: ground 10: +12V fused (for DSR)
